Monitoring for 2x460AH

I have a Roadtrek Zion with the KS2 batteries (2x200AH), with an AGM "kicker" in parallel, an inverter/charger, a 290 amp alternator, and 270 watts of solar through an MPPT. How can I monitor all batteries simultaneously in an Epoch system?Roadtrek's explanation of the need for the "Kicker" is unclear to me. Is it necessary to have this configuration with Epoch batteries? What is used on Epoch systems to protect the alternator diodes when the BMS shuts off, or does the Epoch BMS do a gradual shutdown?
